This past weekend our family spent almost the entire weekend cleaning out our house to get ready to list it for sale! (It’s super exciting but super stressful!) So when we had the opportunity to go see the Harlem Globetrotters we jumped at the thought of getting of out the house and away from cleaning!
I’ve never seen the Harlem Globetrotters, but I knew what to expect…because seriously who doesn’t know what they do!?
We’ve never taken our kids to a sporting event before. First they’re too young to appreciate any games and I’d rather enjoy a game without a toddler crying because he wants to play on the stadium stairs. The great thing about going to the Harlem Globetrotters is that there’s a TON of kids! So that was exciting to pull up to an event and see that my kids weren’t going to be the only ones having toddler melt downs. (Cause they’re bound to happen).
Here’s my family waiting in line to go into the Pepsi Center, where the event was held.
We had great seats (club level) and the kids were able to see everything that was going on. Here’s my little guy dancing to some of the music during the game! If you’ve never actually been to a game expect a basketball game with some talented players who are not only entertaining with their game skills, but also their ball handling skills. The tricks they do are seriously impressive! There’s a comical aspect that’s also in the game. Some of the players have mics on them though the game and they entertain with jokes and funny quips.
Here’s Violet clapping along with one of the songs during the game.
My hubby enjoyed the game because it’s actually a basketball game and a live sporting event. Something we don’t get to do enough of with little kids.
The Globetrotters is a GREAT family sporting event for the whole family. I got to enjoy family time, my kids had a blast, and the hubby drank beer and felt like an adult for a little while! (AND we got out of the house!) Tickets are affordable and there’s even Groupon and Living Social deals if you’re looking for the next show in your home town!.
